After months of waiting, Paramount has finally released a full length trailer for their highly anticipated film Super 8. It’s the JJ Abrams directed, Steven Spielberg produced sci-fi flick that’s had most of us foaming at the mouth. The plot details have been scarce, but lucky for us the first official synopsis has also been released. Check out both below…
After watching this trailer several times, we’ve got nothing but good things to say about it. The combination of old school Amblin and Bad Robot has our Spidey-sense tingling. Super 8 has that E.T., Jurassic Park vibe mixed with Cloverfield and we love it.
Besides the story, we love the actors featured in the film. Most of them are unknown kids, and the others are veterans who’ve never received proper exposure. More specifically, we’re talking about Kyle Chandler from “Friday Night Lights.” That man is amazing and we’re happy to see him headline an Abrams-Spielberg flick!
The trailer debuted over on TwitVid, and you can check it out here:
In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.
Super 8 opens in theaters everywhere on June 10th.
