Everyone seems to be heading to television these days! Several shows have snatched up actors for the upcoming fall season and we’ve got a batch of announcements below. Some of the stars include Jason Priestley (Brandon Walsh sigh), who’s been keeping a low profile as a director and producer, Thomas Dekker who’s somehow survived the premature cancellation of “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” and the overtly talented yet underused Ellen Barkin. Find out who’s going where…

  • Jason Priestley: The former “Beverly Hills 90210″ star has joined the cast of the SyFy series “Haven.” He’ll appear in four episodes and play a man named “Chris Weekly, a brilliant, principled but anti-social marine biologist who must deal with an affliction most would consider a blessing.” We don’t even want to know what that means! [TVLine]
  • Ellen Barkin: Barkin has signed on to star in the NBC drama “A Mann’s World.” She’ll star opposite Don Johnson on the series that centers on “Allan Mann (Johnson), a fifty-something handsome and sexy straight Beverly Hills hairdresser struggling to stay young and relevant in a place where looks are everything.” Barkin will play his fun-loving wife. [Deadline]
  • Thomas Dekker: The A Nightmare on Elm Street alum has landed a role on the CW series “Secret Circle.” It’s based on the popular book series and centers on “a young woman named Cassie (Britt Robertson) who discovers that not only is she a witch and part of a top-secret coven, but she’s also the key that will unlock a centuries-old battle between good and evil.” [TVLine]]
  • Kristoffer Polaha: The actor has been cast in the pilot for the CBS series “Ringer” opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar, who plays a woman on the run hiding in plain sight by using her twin sister’s identity. Polaha will play her love interest. [TVLine]

Even though “Life Unexpected” hasn’t officially been canceled, it’s a bad sign when two of its headlining stars (Robertson and Polaha) have already signed on to do other shows. Sigh.

What do you think of this latest batch of castings? Which show will you watch?
