When we think of Sarah Palin, Oscar nominee Julianne Moore doesn’t come to mind. Aside from them both being women, around the same age, and attractive they share nothing in common. Moore will go out on a limb and do her best Palin impression when she plays the former vice presidential candidate in the HBO film Game Change.
According to EW, Moore has signed on to star in the feature adaptation of the best selling book written by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin. The book is originally called Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime. The tone of the film is said to mimic the HBO docudrama Recount, which profiled the controversial results surrounding the 2000 presidential election.
Game Change will be directed by Jay Roach from a screenplay written by Danny Strong, who coincidentally worked with him on Recount.
Moore is an amazing actress, there is no doubt about that. At first glance she doesn’t look like Palin, but we’re sure with the right hair, make up, and wardrobe she can pull it off. We’re more interested in who’ll play Hilary Clinton. That’s the casting we want to see. Amy Poehler, where are you?!
What do you think of Moore playing Palin? Do you think she’s the right choice?
