Clint Eastwood likes to keep it in the family when it comes to casting his films. Matt Damon appeared in Invictus and Hereafter, Morgan Freeman was also in Invictus, Million Dollar Baby, and Unforgiven, and now Jeffrey Donovan (Changeling) is getting in on the repetitive casting. The star of the hit series “Burn Notice” will moonlight from his day job to appear in Eastwood’s highly anticipated drama, J. Edgar.
Donovan recently took to Twitter to announce his latest acting gig:
I fly to LA Sunday. I have been cars as Bobby Kennedy opposite LD in HOOVER. excited. working with Mr Eastwood again. Dreams come true.
Awww, Jeffrey’s really exited. And the LD he’s referring to is Leonardo DiCaprio, who’ll be playing the title character. The actor is definitely in good company.
J. Edgar will cover the head of the FBI and his reign from its creation in 1935 to his death in 1972. The film will be produced by Brian Grazer and has a script written by Oscar winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black (Milk). The film stars DiCaprio, Naomi Watts, Ed Westwick, Josh Lucas, Damon Herriman, and Ken Howard.
What do you think of Donovan joining the cast of Hoover? Do you think he’ll make a good Bobby Kennedy?
