An official poster has been released for the upcoming remake, Conan the Barbarian. The film features Jason Momoa as the title character, whom was previously played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. The one sheet debuted on IGN and it’s a little different from what you’d expect: it’s a motion poster. That means we get to see Conan in all his half-dressed glory in action. Take a look…

The plot details regarding the film are a bit sketchy but from what we’ve heard it follows in the same footsteps as its predecessor. The property has been adapted so many times for both film and television, there are only so many ways you can play it. The film will be directed by Marcus Nispel and we’re really interested in seeing his vision for the character.

Now without further ado, here’s the Conan motion poster:

Even though we’ve seen Momoa’s face multiple times, it appears that they’re trying to hide it here. Since this is the film’s first poster they might be trying to introduce him to fans slowly.

Conan the Barbarian stars Rose McGowan, Stephen Lang, Rachel Nichols, Ron Perlman, Leo Howard, and Said Taghmaoui.

Conan the Barbarian opens in theaters everywhere in 3D on August 19th.
