“Law & Order: Los Angeles” has been on hiatus for months, while “Law & Order: SVU” has been thriving with new episodes. Los Angeles is currently going through a revamp that includes switching around the cast and getting rid of some characters all together. One person who’s managed to survive all the hysteria is Terrence Howard. The actor plays DA Joe Dekker on LOLA, and according to TVLine, he’ll bump heads with the SVU team on an upcoming episode.
Howard will bring his alter ego Dekker to New York City for May sweeps according to the site. His character will be brought on as a defense attorney for a friend’s son. Who will be his legal sparring partner? None other than Diane Neal aka ADA Casey Novak. NBC hasn’t revealed the air date of the episode or what other circumstances will surround the case.
This is an obvious ploy to get a little cross-promotion for LOLA, which is in desperate need of help. This won’t be the first time SVU has crossed paths with its little brother. Earlier this season Skeet Ulrich made an appearance on the show as his character Detective Rex Winters.
We don’t know about you but we feel as if Howard’s presence is being used to let viewers know that his show is still active despite its massive overhaul.
What do you think of Howard guest starring on Law & Order: SVU?
