Former “That 70′s Show” star Laura Prepon is heading back to television. The actress who previously appeared on “October Road” and “Castle” has landed a new gig. According to TVline, she’s has been hired to play Chelsea Handler in the NBC pilot “Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea,” which is based off the book of the same name.

Before you get too confused as to what’s going on let us break it down for you. The character is based on Chelsea Handler both in the book and on the show, but her name will be Chelsea Hanson. You get it? Almost the same, but not really. The pilot will center on “a fresh-faced single cocktail waitress who is highly opinionated and open about her love to drink and have sex.” That’s pretty straight to the point, isn’t it?

Handler has two other best selling books that feature the same exaggerated character including My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands and Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang.

This woman really likes her sex and alcohol! Do you think Prepon call pull off such attitude and spunk?

What do you think of Prepon starring as Handler/Hanson? Is she the right pick?
