Last week we got our first look at the new Arthur with Russell Brand, when the trailer was released online. Today, a poster has debuted that features Brand and two of his four female co-stars Helen Mirren and Jennifer Garner. It captures the juvenile nature of the character and his man-child behavior. Take a look…
Arthur is directed by “Modern Family’s” Jason Winer and will follow a wealthy drunk (Brand) who risks his large trust fund to be with someone his mother doesn’t approve of — a poor girl (Greta Gerwig). He’s pushed to marry a well-off heiress (Jennifer Garner) who has a very religious father, played by Nick Nolte. Oscar winner Helen Mirren is also on board as Arthur’s caregiver aka “adult nanny.”
Once again Ms. Greta Gerwig is M.I.A. in the promotion for this film. The actress didn’t appear in the trailer and now she’s been omitted from the poster. Speaking of the poster, can they ease up on the air brush tool? Look what they did to Ms. Mirren? She’s naturally gorgeous, she doesn’t need that much help.
Arthur is scheduled to hit theaters on April 8.
What do you think of the poster for the film?
