The cast for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo continues to grow and keep its international flair with its latest addition. According to Deadline, former “ER” star Goran Visnijic (Luka Kovac) has joined director David Fincher’s English language adaptation. The site reports that his role will be featured in all three installments in the series.
The film centers on a middle-aged journalist who joins forces with a private investigator named Lisbeth Salander to solve a missing persons case that’s been open for decades. Daniel Craig plays the journalist, who’ll work alongside Rooney Mara as the young investigator.
Visnijic will play Dragan Armansky in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. The character appears in all of the books, and the actor has supposedly signed a three picture deal for the film series. Armansky is the CEO and COO of the company of which Lisbeth Salander works. The duo have an unconventional relationship to say the least.
It’s interesting that they chose Visnijic, because he looks absolutely nothing like the actor who played the character in the Swedish films. Perhaps they wanted to make him younger, and a little more attractive to add more tension between him and Lisbeth?
What do you think of Visnijic being cast as Dragan?
