New Scream 4 Trailer – Cliches Galore!
By Krystal Clark
A new trailer has been released for the upcoming sequel Scream 4, and it’s filled with cliches. The teaser trailer centered on the suspense and horror factor, but the theatrical version is all about the jokes. Do you remember Jamie Kennedy’s character from the first two movies? In Scream 4 everyone has turned into him. Everyone is obsessed with the rules, and everyone is a comedian. Take a look…
We were actually looking forward to seeing what the new Scream had to offer, but this trailer is a major turn off. It’s overly campy. These movies are supposed to be a satire of horror films from the seventies and eighties, but they’re going overboard. The first trilogy had moments of humor, but it still managed to scare the crap out of you. That’s not the case here.
Official Synopsis:
Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette) and Gale (Courteney Cox), who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill (Emma Roberts) and her Aunt Kate (Mary McDonnell). Unfortunately Sidney’s appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.
Scream 4 is scheduled to debut in theaters on April 15.
What do you think of the new Scream 4 trailer? Are you excited to see the film?

You can't base what the movie is ALL about based on the TRAILER. You don't know if it's going to be all campy or all horror. There is no way to know until you see the movie.

Campy is what Scream was always about. It was created to make fun of every cliche horror movies were all about. It made fun of horror movies before Scary Movie made fun of it! It looks amazing and true to form. I am excited!

Yes, but even with the camp it still had genuine moments of terror. This movie looks like a straight comedy. There's a reason why the original Scream trilogy would be found in the horror section and Scary movie in the comedy.
