Continuing on his awards sweep, David Fincher took home the honor in the Best Director category at the 68th Annual Golden Globes. Fincher came well prepared with a written speech where he discussed how the script for The Social Network was brought to him by producer Scott Rudin, and how he had no idea how successful it would become.

See who he beat out…

Best Director
Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan)
David Fincher (The Social Network) – Winner
Tom Hooper (The King’s Speech)
Christopher Nolan (Inception)
David O. Russell (The Fighter)

Fincher also won the Best Director trophy at the Critics Choice Awards on Friday but wasn’t in attendance to accept it.
