Have you been keeping up with the development of “Locke & Key?” It’s a spooky new TV series produced by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman based on a comic book from Joe Hill. According to Deadline, John Connor number two aka Nick Stahl has been cast in the role of Duncan Locke, the younger brother of the show’s dead protagonist.
“Locke & Key” tells “the story of Nina Locke (Miranda Otto) and her three children, Tyler, Kinsey (Sarah Bolger), and Bode who, after the brutal murder of Nina’s husband Rendell Locke, return to Keyhouse, his old family home in Massachusetts. There, they are pestered by an evil entity named DODGE that’s determined to hold the family hostage one way or another until it gets what it wants.”
Stahl’s character Duncan, is the brother of Rendell and an art teacher who lives nearby and frequently visits Nina and the kids. He also strangely has a few memories of his own time growing up in Keyhouse.
The series was originally supposed to debut this summer but the production team won’t be able to finish shooting in time, therefore they’re looking for fall consideration. One of the executive producers of “Locke & Key” is Steven Spielberg who is working through his DreamWorks TV banner.
What do you think of Nick Stahl’s casting? Is he the right choice?
