The cast of Garry Marshall’s unofficial sequel to Valentine’s Day continues to grow with the addition of Sienna Miller. According to Variety, the British actress has joined the overstuffed roster which currently includes Robert De Niro, Hilary Swank, Michelle Pfeiffer, Sofia Vergara, Jessica Biel, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Ashton Kutcher, Halle Berry, Zac Efron, and Til Schweiger.

New Year’s Eve centers on the intertwining stories of a group of New Yorkers as they navigate their way through bittersweet drama and romance over the course of New Year’s Eve. The various romances or non-romances will intersect and weave an overall plot laced with love and loss. There’s been no word on who Miller will play or what her character will be up to.

During the development of this movie, we’ve been hearing a lot of comparisons to Valentine’s Day (naturally) and He’s Just Not That Into You, both of which are fair but they hit a road block when they drag Love Actually into the mix. Not only was that a better movie that utilized love and the holidays, but it was written well.

We love Marshall, but Valentine’s Day was seriously lacking and we don’t know if New Year’s Eve will be any better.

What do you think of Miller joining the cast of New Year’s Eve? Did you like Valentine’s Day?
