A lot of attention has been given to Jesse Eisenberg’s most recent film The Social Network, but what about his next project? What about Rio? It may not be as controversial or cutting edge but it’s fun and you can take the kids to see it. Four new posters have been released in promotion of the animated feature and we have to admit they make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Take a look…

Rio centers on Blu, a rare macaw who thinks he is the last of his kind but he soon discovers there’s another macaw out there, a girl named Jewel. He leaves his cage in small town Minnesota and heads to Rio de Janeiro to start a life with her. Unexpectedly thrown together, they embark on an adventure of a lifetime, where they learn about friendship, love, courage, and being open to life’s many wonders.

The film is directed by Carlos Saldanha, and features the voice cast of Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx, Tracy Morgan, Leslie Mann, Jemaine Clement, George Lopez, Jake T. Austin and Will.I.Am.

Rio is scheduled to hit the big screen on April 15, 2011.
