Never Say Never gives us an inside look at the 16 year old music sensation Justin Bieber. The Canadian native went from a talented kid to the cause of mass swooning and his name has even been associated with flu-like symptoms. Though I neither have Beiber-fever, nor hate the kid (like certain people like to do to ridiculously wealthy, successful youths), I’m somewhere in between empathetic and indifferent. BUT the one thing that even I have to admit is that the kid’s got talent. Though they’ve blown his life into a media-circus, at the heart of it all, you have a talented kid who loves music.

It’s hard to look away from anyone who can cause such mass-hysteria with the beat of a drum…

See! If you buy your kid the drums, he’ll become a pop-sensation, guaranteed! The film has been directed by the cinematic music, dance sensation, Jon Chu (Step Up 3D) and will be distributed by Paramount. There’s no doubt that this will take Bieber from flu like symptoms to the plague.

Let’s just hope he follows the Justin Timberlake path and not the path of Michael Jackson, Lindsey Lohan, Britney Spears… You get the idea. Though he’s a success, the odds are against him, but if there’s one thing this film it shows that the kids got some real character. Let’s hope it’s not just marketing.

Never Say Never will hit theaters on February 11, 2011 and it will be in 3D.
