Gwyneth Paltrow is back in film promotion mode for her upcoming drama Country Strong. The Oscar winning actress appears as a country music superstar who has her fair share of demons (in a bottle). The film opens in theaters everywhere this Friday (January 7) but that won’t be the last you see of her. It’s been announced that she’ll be the host of next week’s episode of “Saturday Night Live.”

Paltrow must have been unable to get Jim Carrey to trade places with her. The comedy star has hosting duties this week marking the shows return from the holiday hiatus. Paltrow will take over on January 15 and guess who the musical guest will be? Cee-Lo Green! As in the same Cee-lo Green who has the hit song “F*ck You” that Paltrow performed during her guest stint on “Glee” last year. Something tells us that they might have an “impromptu” duet that night.

This will mark Paltrow’s third time hosting SNL but unfortunately we can’t remember the other two, can you? We do remember that episode that Jude Law hosted back in 2004. It’s probably because that’s the one where Ashlee Simpson got caught lip-syncing and Law dressed up as a convincing Paris Hilton in one of the skits. Those were the days.

Will you tune in to see Paltrow’s comedic chops?
