Garry Marshall’s romantic comedy Valentine’s Day continues to haunt us with the follow up entitled New Year’s Eve. It makes you wonder if we’re going to go through all the holidays at some point. The film will have an ensemble cast that currently includes Robert De Niro, Hilary Swank, Michelle Pfeiffer, Sofia Vergara, Jessica Biel, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, and yes, Ashton Kutcher is back. According to THR, three more actors have joined the feature in the form of Sarah Jessica Parker, Zac Efron, and Halle Berry.
New Year’s Eve centers on the intertwining stories of a group of New Yorkers as they navigate their way through bittersweet drama and romance over the course of New Year’s Eve. “Parker will play Breslin’s mom, someone who relies too much on her daughter for company, Berry will play a caterer who runs into a former flame. Efron is on track to play a bike messenger who ends up trying to fulfill Pfeiffer’s New Year’s Eve resolutions in exchange for tickets to a big party.”
Everyone else’s role us pretty striaght forward but we’re worried about what they’re going to have Efron doing. Pfeiffer’s character is said to be a frustrated executive secretary. Is she looking for a May December fling with the young man?
What do you think of the addition of these actors to the cast? Are you interested in seeing the film?
