Does the SyFy Channel like any of its television shows? First they canceled “Caprica” and now they’ve canceled “Stargate Universe.” The “Stargate” franchise has been running on the network for the past 8 years with installments like “Stargate SG-1” and “Stargate Atlantis.” Now they’re ready to get rid of its latest incarnation.

SyFy announced today that they plan on airing the final 10 episodes of the upcoming season of “SGU” when it returns in the spring of 2011. It will only mark its second year on the air. Even though it seems like they’re canceling shows left and right, SyFy recently picked up the new series “Being Human” and the one hour drama “Alphas.” And who can forget their decision to green light the “Battlestar Galactica” prequel pilot movie, “Blood & Chrome?”

We’ve never watched “SGU” so we can’t say whether or not the show deserved to get the ax but we’re starting to notice a trend with the network. They get rid of shows that have actual sci-fi influence but they pick up — wrestling. Why are they showing that on the channel? Are we truly in “The Twilight Zone” here?

What do you think of SyFy’s decision to cancel Stargate Universe?
