New Poster and Trailer for Rango
By Krystal Clark
Another trailer has been released for Gore Verbinski’s animated feature Rango. The movie stars Johnny Depp as the title character who’s just as unconventional as his name. He’s a chameleon that doesn’t exactly know how to blend in. Over at Yahoo Movies, they posted the new theatrical trailer, which we have below along with a new poster for the film. You can take a look at both now…
The film centers on a chameleon who’s going through an identity crisis and embarks on a cross-country journey where he ends up in the dangerous SouthWest territory. Instead of the animals being portrayed as creatures in the wild they’re given human characteristics, a cowboy/mariachi wardrobe, and a Western genre vibe.
When the first trailer for this film was released, we were completely baffled. We weren’t sure what to make of it, but this version makes the movie look hilarious. Depp always makes interesting choices doesn’t he?
Here’s the poster:

The voice cast for Rango includes, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin, Alfred Molina, Bill Nighy, Harry Dean Stanton, Ray Winstone, and Timothy Olyphant.
Rango is scheduled to hit theaters on March 4, 2011.
What do you think of the new trailer for Rango? Are you interested in seeing the film?
