Over the past few months we’ve seen our fair share of behind the scenes footage and photos from Michael Bay’s upcoming Transformers sequel, but nothing official. The film opens in theaters on July 1, 2011 and we haven’t seen a teaser, or a legit poster promoting it yet. The folks over at Joblo, seem to have found something that might be the first piece of marketing for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. We’re not sure if it’s the real deal but after further investigation it might be. Take a look…
This poster was originally seen on the floor at the Licensing International Expo (via ComicBookMovie) earlier this year, so we doubt that it would have been there if it was a fake. With that being said, what can we learn from this poster? What is it trying to tell us? Think guys. Think.
The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.
What do you think of the teaser poster for Transformers Dark of the Moon?
