Sunday night critics and lucky viewers got the opportunity to catch a glimpse of Broadway’s newest attraction: Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark. It’s the U2 and Julie Taymor collaboration that has had the industry buzzing over the past year. The majority of the publicity the musical has gotten stems from its constant delays, the bloated budget, and even a death! CBS’ “60 Minutes” recently ran a segment on the show and you can watch it in its entirety below…

Last night when the curtain rose on the first Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark you could tell it was going to be a bumpy night. Not only was this the first preview performance, but it was the cast and crews first run through of the show. As in, they didn’t rehearse! The production had to be stopped multiple times and at one point the lead actor Reeve Carney who plays Spider-Man, got tangled up in his aerial harness and had to be freed.

If you followed the inception of Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark you’d know that the trouble has been brewing from that start.
