Mark Wahlberg is keeping himself busy with a lot of projects but we know for a fact that The Crow reboot won’t be one of them. On a lighter note, he has confirmed plans to star in another highly anticipated adaptation, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune! Dun! Dun! Dun! Not only will Wahlberg play the lead in the film, but he might get a little acting support from Oscar winner’s Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci.
Wahlberg will play Nathan Drake in the David O. Russell directed film. This will mark the fourth time the pair have worked together with Three Kings, I Heart Huckabees, and The Fighter being the first three. According to Wahlberg, “The idea that he has is just insane. So hopefully we’ll be making that movie this summer.” Speaking of insane, the actor also revealed that De Niro and Pesci are being sought after to play some pretty important characters in the film.
“I’m obviously in whatever David wants to do, but the idea of it is so off the charts: De Niro being my father, Pesci being my uncle. It’s not going to be the watered-down version, that’s for sure.”
The actors haven’t confirmed their involvement but Wahlberg has been in contact with them both and it looks like it might happen. Let’s be realistic, if De Niro can do Little Fockers he can do Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune!
