Do you know what’s the best thing about the holiday season? It’s not the turkey, your relatives, or even the extra days off work, it’s the NBC Thursday night line up! Our favorite show out of the bunch is the highly underrated “Community,” which will kick off the festivities with an all new animated episode. Get ready to see Jeff, Britta, Annie, Troy, Abed, Shirley, and Pierce like you’ve never seen them before. Check out a special preview clip from the upcoming Christmas themed special below…

Official Synopsis:

When Abed (Danny Pudi) wakes up in stop-motion animation, he takes it as a sign that he and the group must re-discover the meaning of Christmas. Meanwhile, Jeff (Joel McHale) and Britta (Gillian Jacobs) become growingly concerned about Abed’s mental health and enlist the help of Professor Duncan (John Oliver). The group undergoes hypnosis to explore Abed’s winter wonderland and soon unravel the truth behind Abed’s madness.

Don’t you love the frankness that this show provides? Once again, Abed is used to say what the viewers at home are already thinking. Yes, you guys are animated. It’s the same old school stop-motion that was used for that classic “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” special from back in the day. This preview for the episode lasted a mere 13 seconds but it seemed like 30 minutes of bliss.

This special Christmas episode of “Community” airs December 9.

What do you think of the sneak peek? Are you excited about the episode?
