Singer, actor, and songwriter Darren Criss made quite the impression on the viewing audience of the Fox series, “Glee.” We’re not sure if it was his stunning good looks, or his smooth rendition of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream,” either way it got him a permanent gig. The producers have asked Criss to join the cast as a regular, which means more interactions between him and Kurt.
According to AfterElton, creator Ryan Murphy confirmed that Criss’ character Blaine would be around for the foreseeable future, and by that he means the rest of season 2 and season 3. Even though he’s pretty sure that the character will be around, he’s not so sure about his involvement with Kurt. When asked if he would end up being a steady boyfriend for the bullied character, Murphy said,
“I don’t know. That I have not decided. We’re writing it. I want to see what people’s reaction to that is. Part of me thinks he should be the boyfriend, part of me thinks he should just be the mentor. I didn’t want to decide that until we got in.”
He also said that even though they’re not sure who will be Kurt’s main squeeze, he will get one eventually. Murphy explained, “Kurt will definitely get a boyfriend. The question is who will it be and how will it be.”
