The cast for HBO’s “True Blood” is starting to scare us, and not for the obvious reasons. Who cares that they’re vampires, werewolves, and witches, we’re more concerned about the overpopulation. What’s with all these newbies coming into town? Earlier this week we learned that Harry Potter alum Fiona Shaw had been cast as Marnie the medium, and now another actress from a rival network has joined the cast.
According to Deadline, Courtney Ford has been tapped for a recurring role. Her character will be “Portia Bellefleur, a classic Southern beauty who runs her own law practice. The character is the sister of Bon Temps’ bumbling detective Andy (Chris Bauer).” If Ford’s face looks familiar its probably because she previously appeared on Showtime’s “Dexter” and most recently The CW’s “The Vampire Diaries.”
Where are all of these extra bodies going to go, in Eric’s basement? Seriously, this season, which we’re calling the “season of the witch” will be packed to the brim with characters. Jesus (Lafayette’s boyfriend) will be back, and now they’ve tacked on these two. If you’ve read the books, can you tell us if the characters of Marnie and Portia are long term or not?
What do you think of the latest casting addition to True Blood?
