It’s Tron Tuesday and that means that Disney has released a new promotional asset for their long awaited sequel Tron Legacy. This week, they’ve given us another trailer that features plenty of new footage that shows some quality father-son time between Kevin and Sam Flynn. Check out all the family bonding below…

Tron Legacy will hit theaters on December 17th, after a long 28 year hiatus. The first movie came out in 1982 and starred Jeff Bridges as Kevin Flynn, the man and the myth behind the world of Tron. Legacy will shift the focus onto Flynn’s son Sam (Garrett Hedlund), who accidentally gets pulled into Tron while trying to save his father’s life.

It turns out that Kevin has been living in the world of Tron for over  20 years, and Sam wants to find and release him. Aided by his trusted friend Quorra (Olivia Wilde), the duo embark on a life-and-death journey to escape the cyber universe that has become far more advanced and dangerous since the last time we saw it.

Can we just force the Academy to give Tron Legacy every special effects Oscar there is right now? The film is visually stunning and we can only imagine how it will look on the big screen and in 3D. How is it that the de-aged Kevin Flynn can look so amazing here? When they tried to do the same thing to Prof. Xavier and Magneto in X-Men: The Last Stand, they looked like cartoons. Amazing work!
