A new domestic trailer has been released for Disney’s upcoming sequel The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. It’s the third installment in the film franchise, which is based on the popular C. S. Lewis. book series. The Dawn Treader is a follow up to 2008′s Prince Caspian, a film that underperformed at the box office and was scorned by many critics. Will the third movie be a charm? Check out the trailer…
In the film, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, along with their cousin Eustace Scrubb are once again pulled into the world of Narnia and this time its through a painting. They go on a mysterious mission with Prince Caspian that takes them to the Lone Islands where they encounter Dufflepuds, sinister slave traders, roaring dragons and enchanted merfolk all while aboard the Dawn Treader.
The third installment of the Narnia series is directed by Michael Apted and stars Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, Ben Barnes, Will Poulter, Gary Sweet, Bruce Spence, Arthur Angel, Shane Rangi and features the amazing voice of Liam Neeson.
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is scheduled to hit theaters this holiday season in 3D and 2D on December 10th.
