Both Marvel and DC Entertainment seem to be obsessed with revamping their properties and putting them on the small screen. A month ago we heard about DC’s development of a new live action “Wonder Woman” series, which is being produced by David E. Kelley, then word spread that Marvel’s “The Incredible Hulk” might also get a second chance on television. Now according to a report from WSJ, Disney Chief Robert Igar confirmed that the studio has more than one superhero property waiting in the wings.

According to Igar,

[With Marvel] we’ve taken back distribution, or bought back distribution from [Viacom Inc.'s] Paramount, for some critical franchises. Notably, “Iron Man 3″ will be distributed by us, and “Avengers.” We’re developing three live-action series for ABC and ABC Family. You can buy Marvel products at Disney stores. And we’re working on Marvel games.

Besides “The Hulk” two more Marvel characters will become live action TV shows and we’re having a hard time figuring out who they might me. Any of the heroes whose powers are based in science could be used, which means the majority of The Avengers team are possible candidates but that would be overkill. They already have a new Avengers show running on Disney XD right now.

Over at THR, they revealed that Cloak & Dagger is being developed for ABC Family and other possible titles include The Punisher, Heroes for Hire, The Eternals, Ka-Zar, and Daughters of the Dragon.

What do you think of Disney/Marvel producing more live action shows for television?
