A while ago we warned you that Martin Lawrence was looking to make his Big Momma’s House film series a trilogy. The third installment is called The Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son and as you might expect, this time it’s personal. Lawrence is joined by Tropic Thunder alum Brandon T. Jackson to help solve a crime and yes, they’re both dressed in drag. Sigh. Check out the first trailer for the film below…

I didn’t laugh once throughout this entire trailer, which is not a good sign. Lawrence might have reached his comedic peak during the nineties and Jackson seems to be phoning it in here. The premise for the film sounds like it was ripped straight from an 80′s buddy comedy because it’s stale and uninspired. Of course Jackson witnesses a murder and has to go into witness protection at an all girls school because that’s the only way. The only way!

The rest of the cast of The Big Mommas includes Jessica Lucas, Faizon Love, Emily Rios, Portia Doubleday and Michelle Ang. It’s so sad to see Doubleday go from such a promising start with Youth in Revolt to this.

The Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son hits theaters on February 18th.
