Hold on to your hoodies and skinny jeans, the first trailer for the Justin Bieber documentary has been released. The film is called Never Say Never and it’s directed by Jon Chu from the Step it Up franchise, which is a fitting don’t you think? The first teaser for the film shows Bieber grow from his humble beginnings as a toddler who loved music to an international pop superstar. Check out the trailer…
I respect that this young guy was a fan of music and wanted to become a star. A lot of kids have that dream. His story of going from a YouTube user to one of the most sought after pop acts in the world is also commendable, but his fans are a little over the top with their llusions of grandeur. He’s not John Lennon, Michael Jackson, or Elvis Presley. Pull it back guys.
The message that the film tries to bring across is never give up on your dreams and I can get down with that. No matter how I feel about the Biebz, that’s something that a lot of kids (and adults) need to hear.
Never Say Never will hit theaters on February 11, 2011 and it will be in 3D.
