A week ago, the theatrical poster was released for Dax Shepard’s directorial debut, Brother’s Justice. The actor stars and helms the film alongside David Palmer. It’s a faux-documentary that follows Shepard on his journey to become a martial arts master/action movie star. Yes, that is the basic premise of the film and he begs, borrows, and bothers everyone he can to make his dream come true. Check out the official trailer below…

I like the fact that Shepard goes back to his roots by visiting Ashton Kutcher. He actually acknowledges that he got his start in Hollywood as one of the stars of his show “Punk’d.” It’s interesting to see how Shepard’s career has been on a steady incline since then. Also, does anyone else think that him and Bradley Cooper look like brothers? They’re around the same age and have similar features like their build, height, and hair. Have they starred in a movie before together — as relatives?

Official Synopsis:

In an attempt to reinvent his career, actor Dax Shepard makes the rash decision to abandon comedy in pursuit of his true dream: to become an internationally-renown martial arts star. Without any formal martial arts training, nor adequate funding for his ‘blockbuster’ action movie script, Dax enlists the help of his buddies including producer Nate Tuck and actor Tom Arnold. Together, they fight to realize Dax’s true passion while facing rejection at every turn. With maniacal conviction, Dax journeys on a bizarre path that becomes increasingly nonsensical and destructive, all at the expense and exploitation of his personal and professional relationships.

Other stars who make appearances in the film include Jon Favreau and David Koechner.
