All the TV networks seem to be scraping the bottom of the barrel this season. There haven’t been any solid breakthrough hits or breakout stars. No Jon Hamm’s, no Steve Carells, no Anna Torvs, no nothing! It’s been mediocre in every sense of the word, and with mid-season replacements being scarce a lot of the networks have no choice but to order more scripts for shows that aren’t performing great but simply “performing.”

ABC was one of the first networks to cancel a show this season with the flash-back drama, “My Generation.” They obviously don’t want to look like losers in the network pool so they’ve picked up luke warm shows for full season orders. The fantasy dramedy “No Ordinary Family” and the the half-hour sitcom, “Better With You.” The latter show, we didn’t even know existed.

According to a statement ABC has released to the press, they’ve also admitted to ordering 5 more scripts for the freshman drama “Detroit 1-8-7” and 4 more for the veteran “Brothers & Sisters.” There’s been no word on whether or not they plan on extending “The Whole Truth,” since the legal drama has been struggling to find an audience.

What do you think of ABC’s picks for this season thus far?
