He’s back. Jack Sparrow’s dad will return for the fourth installment of the popular Disney franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides. The character of Captain Teague will return to the dark seas and the big screen according his portrayer Keith Richards. The news regarding the legendary Rolling Stones guitarist appeared in a recent Reuters article, that promotes his new memoir.
It’s no secret that Johnny Depp credits Richards as the inspiration for his performance as Sparrow, so it was only fitting that Richards would step in and appear in one of the films. He did just that in 2007′s At World’s End and he’s about to do it again in On Stranger Tides.
He told the London Times via EW, that he’ll be back as Captain Teague and he’s getting used to the hair and make up again. “It takes two hours to put the wig and make-up on,” Richards said. “Back into the hairy prison. ‘Ooooh, sorry about my sword, babe,’ ha ha ha.”
