It’s no secret that Bruce Willis is attached to an upcoming Die Hard sequel, tentatively called Die Hard 5. It’s a follow up to 2007′s Live Free or Die Hard, which was the first film in the action franchise to be rated PG-13 (Boo!). Hopefully, the studio will right that wrong with their new film, which will feature the hero nearing the end of his career.

Willis is 55 years old, and is starting to recognize that he can’t hop from car to car forever. He recently spoke about the status of his alter ego McClane and whether or not he has one more Die Hard left in his artillery.

“…I want to do Die Hard 5, then one final Die Hard movie — Die Hard 6 — before finally hanging that white vest up for good. In the next few years they could easily find a replacement for me or call the character someone else. At the moment, I can run and I can fight on screen. But there will come a time when I no longer want to do that. That’s when I’ll step away from the Die Hard films.”

We take it that he’s never heard of Indiana Jones and Harrison Ford? We’re pretty sure Ford is a good 10 or 11 years Willis’ senior and that didn’t stop him from bringing that whip out of retirement for The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Granted that movie was horrible but he still showed up for it.

As for Die Hard, where can the story go from here? Die Hard 5 is seriously stretching it and he’s talking about doing a 6th one? What’s going to happen there?

Do you think that Willis has enough left in him for 2 more Die Hard movies?
