It’s often been called one of the greatest films of all time. We’re talking about Francis Ford Coppola’s Apocalypse Now and we’re giving three copies of it away on blu-ray. This is a very special prize because this is the first time that the film will be available in high-definition and be seen in its theatrical release ratio.

Check out the details below and participate in our contest!

Apocalypse Now features an amazing all-star cast which includes Marlon Brando, Martin Sheen, Dennis Hopper, Harrison Ford and Laurence Fishburne. In the year of its release, 1979, it was nominated for eight Academy Awards. It is the story of man who is sent on a top secret mission into Cambodia at the time of the Vietnam War to assassinate a commander gone rogue.

We’ll be giving away three, 2-film set Blu-ray disc special features. You can view all of the details of the giveaway down below. The DVD officially comes out next Tuesday, October 19, 2010.

Now, here’s what you have to do to win: RECAST Apocalypse Now. The men in the cast I mentioned a few lines back are some of the most respected actors of our time. If you could recast the film, who would you pick? There’s one stipulation, the actors you choose must be in the same age range as the actors who appear in the film. If you recast Sheen, it has to be with someone who’s the same age as him now, who would have been as young as him then. Get it?

You don’t have to recast the entire movie, just one or two. Good Luck!

Winners will be picked at random, so get your answers in by Tuesday, October 19, 2010. We’ll post the winners the following day.
