A few weeks ago, the Discovery Channel was in a full blown legal war with the stars of its hit reality series, “Deadliest Catch.” They sued Captains Johnathan and Andy Hillstrand and Captain Sig Hansen, who in turn counter-sued them. It was an absolute mess that delayed production of the upcoming seventh season. Thankfully, according to a report from People, they’ve cleared up their issues and the show will go on as planned.

All the legal trouble began when the Hillstrand brothers supposedly didn’t show up to shoot “Hillstranded,” a planned spin-off that Discovery had in the works. The network went on to sue them for $3 million for not going through with the production. After that it was a domino effect of legal woes. But apparently, they cleared the air with that show too! In a joint statement they said, “Everyone worked really hard on putting together Hillstranded and we’re looking forward to wrapping that up,” the Hillstrand brothers say in a statement. “It’s something new that we hope people will enjoy.”

As for “Deadliest Catch,”

“We’re happy we worked everything out with Discovery,” the trio say in a statement. “A deal’s a deal. We’re heading up to Dutch Harbor to start filming the new season of Deadliest Catch and hopefully it will be the best one yet.”

There you go. More “Deadliest Catch” is on the way, and just in time for crab season.

Are you excited that the show will return?
