Over the past 24 hours rumors have surfaced regarding David Fincher’s film, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Sites are claiming that one of the movie’s stars Rooney Mara has been seriously injured therefore causing production to come to a screeching halt. The Swedish website, Nojes Bladet reported that the actress hurt her shoulder while training for her role, but Sony says there’s no truth to the story.

Over at Cinematical, they reached out to the studio directly to get the lowdown on Ms. Mara’s health and the status of the film. According to them, the story is completely false. Mara hasn’t been hurt and neither has the movie’s production. They had us seriously worried there, but we’re happy that they cleared that up. The last thing we need is negative energy hovering over this film.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo centers on a middle-aged journalist who joins forces with a private investigator named Lisbeth Salander to solve a missing persons case that’s been open for decades. Daniel Craig plays the journalist, who’ll work alongside Mara as the young investigator. The cast also includes Robin Wright, Stellan Skarsgard, and Max von Sydow.
