Vanessa Paradis is more than a beautiful model, singer, and long term partner to Johnny Depp, she’s an actress too! The French superstar will be hitting theaters this weekend in her new film entitled Heartbreaker, a romantic comedy that co-stars “The Walking Dead” actor Andrew Lincoln. While out promoting the movie she spoke about her next project that will have her sharing the screen with Depp, something she’s never done before in the past.

Paradis and Depp will team up for the film My American Lover that’s being directed by Lasse Hallström. It’s based on the book A Transatlantic Love Affair and centers on a feminist writer named Simone De Beauvoir and her macho American boyfriend Nelson Algren. According to the actress she really enjoys the story but is a little scared to act opposite the father of her children.

“They’re still writing the script, but it’s a beautiful story,” she said. “I don’t know that I could do it … ‘My American Lover’ came along and it might happen just because the story is great. [But] playing in front of one of the best actors in the world and someone I know so well will be challenging.”

What do you think about Depp and Paradis finally doing a movie together? Are you interested in seeing it?
