Pirates of the Caribbean 4 Opening Scene Revealed
By Krystal Clark
Over at What’s Playing they’ve discovered some top secret information regarding Disney’s upcoming feature, Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides. The film won’t hit theaters until May of next year but they’ve uncovered the opening scene to the film. It’s not the actual video but it’s a pretty detailed description. If you want to find out how Captain Jack’s next adventure begins, keep reading…
The scene has already been shot and is “in the can” so if you don’t want to be spoiled stop NOW. Here it is…
[The] film opens at night. Spanish fisherman spots something in the water. A Shape. He fishes out what he soon discovers is the body of an ancient sailor. The boat’s captain rushes over for a look – - before he can make his assessment, the thought-dead sailor’s eyes open. Sailor grabs Captain’s arm… fade out.
The Captain and his aide then arrive at the regal residents of King Ferdinand, with said body, who inform the royal that the not-so-dead sailor claims to have sailed on a vessel belonging to the ship of Ponce de Leon, who died 200 years ago. Ferdinand’s first thought is that the sailor has found the legendary Fountain of Youth. He orders ‘The Spaniard’ to hit the seas in search of it.
Once again, it looks like the Pirates series is getting historical on us. The film is directed by Rob Marshall and is scheduled to hit theaters on May 20, 2011.

I've been not looking forward to this movie ever since 3 was out and ended in a way that so obviously opened the way for another sequel. If this movie follows the lines of 2&3 it definitely won't be worth seeing.

@chrizt: jonny depp said, that he only performs the part of jack sparrow, when hecould decide which other actors plays with him. so he fired captain turner and keira knightly

WORDS FROM KEIRA.
Keira Knightley is "done" with Pirate of The Caribbean.
The British actress – who played aristocrat-turned-swashbuckler Elizabeth Swann in the hit Disney franchise – insists she won't be reprising her role for the fourth Pirates movie.
She tells Moviefone, "It was a completely fantastic experience, and it was an amazingly large portion of my life, but I don't think I need to go there again.
"I think that it's done. But I'm very excited to see the next one. And Johnny Depp is so wonderful in that character. I think it'll be wonderful."

@Maridoc: yes, it's for real, the move is called, Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. I don't know if that is official though.
It's a shame that Orlando and Kiera won't be in this. I really wanted to see who and what the kid they had would grow up to be. It would have been very interesting. If anyone didn't know that, yes they had a kid, it's after all of the credits in the third one. And he appeared to be around the age of 5-8. Hard to tell, the movie ended with Turner appearing in the Dutchmen. And him smiling at Elizabeth, while he was standing on top of the mast. The kid was also singing a song, I think it was the "drink up me hearties yo ho" one. So he obviously knows about the pirate world. Anyway, would have been really good. I hate it when movies change the characters. It just completely ruins the entire series.

The son would be about 9/10 years old due to the whole '10 years of service to the sea'. Having taken over from Davy Jones, Turner was now bound by this rule and can only step on land once every 10 years.

@ForeverFitness
Turner's kid is not the kid at the beginning of the movie singing the song. THAT KID WAS HANGED. He was killed. No more. Dead. D-E-A-D.

I heard Kira Knightly was horrid to work with, a stuck up diva, so they fired her. They could'nt bring Orlando's character back with out her's…. So no more Orlando.
