The theatrical trailer for Scott Stewart’s latest film Priest has been released and it shows Paul Bettany getting ready for war, and Karl Urban bringing hell on wheels. The film is an adaptation of the Tokyo pop comic of the same name and mixes vampire lore with religious iconography, hence the title. Check out the trailer…
Priest centers on “a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampire and follows a warrior priest who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece.” The cast includes Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Urban, and Stephen Moyer, Madchen Amick, and Christopher Plummer.
You can watch the Priest trailer over on Crackle where it made its debut. Once an embeddable version of the video is available we’ll post it here for you.
Rumor has it that this footage will be shown in front of certain screenings of the zombie flick Resident Evil Afterlife, which hits theaters on September 10th.
Who else loves the fact that Stephen Moyer looks exactly like Bill Compton (from “True Blood“) in this film but isn’t playing a vampire. The irony.
