Today is the Jewish New Year also known as Rosh Hashanah, so we find it strange that a teaser trailer for director Uwe Boll’s latest film Auschwitz has just been released. Like everything else he’s done, this film looks completely over the top and definitely Not Safe For Work, so if you have wandering eyes near your desk perhaps you should watch this later. But if you’re free and clear check out Boll’s graphic interpretation of one of the darkest events in world history…
Um….damn. According to Ninja Dixon, back in April, Boll gave somewhat of a mission statement regarding his intent with the film.
“Its in the tradition of my movies stoic, darfur, rampage, tunnelrats, heart of america…it shows auschwitz as this what it was: a meatplant for humans…a death factory”
The trailer is under a minute long and somehow manages to illustrate some of the most heinous images we’ve ever seen. Children being incinerated, teeth being pulled, the elderly being mutilated, all while Boll stands there as a German officer guarding the gas chamber. Not only is this a bad way to start off the Jewish New Year, it’s a horrible way to start off any year, month or day!
What do you think of Uwe Boll’s latest film?
