The sixties are alive and well on the set of X-Men: First Class. A few weeks ago producer Bryan Singer spoke about how time specific the film’s story would be. He stated that their wardrobe department would incorporate some campier outfits due to the decade that everything takes place. Judging from these first set photos, he was telling the truth. We’ve found a couple images of January Jones in costume as Emma Frost and she looks very…vintage.

In the X-Men comics, Emma Frost is a blond haired, blue eyed psychic who’s also a seductive and manipulative telepathic mutant. She has a detailed backstory but from what we’ve heard they’re going to focus on her involvement with the Hellfire Club. They’re a group of mutants led by Sebastian Shaw, who’ll be played by Kevin Bacon.

I’m not sure what scenes their shooting at this point but I’d love to see Bacon dressed in character. If they give him Shaw’s infamous ponytail and that ridiculous ascot I might lose it!

First Class will be directed by Matthew Vaughn and hits theaters on June 3, 2011.

What do you think of January Jones’ ensemble? Does it represent the character in the comic?
