First Photo of Blackbeard on Set of Pirates of the Caribbean 4

The paparazzi have been snapping plenty of photos on the set of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides. Every week or so a new image pops up featuring a character from the film. First we saw Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, followed by Penelope Cruz as Angelica, and now we’ve got our first look at Ian Mcshane as her father, the legendary Blackbeard. Take a look…

The photo is a little fuzzy, but even through the heavy pixelation you can tell that Blackbeard is a grimey character. The story for Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides will center on Jack and Blackbeard’s search for the fountain of youth. We’re not sure how these two will react to one another but we do know that Angelica isn’t Jack’s number one fan. She’s quick-witted, feisty, and won’t put up with his B.S. Considering who her dad is, that’s not a shock.

Besides Depp, Cruz, and McShane the cast of On Stranger Tides includes, Geoffrey Rush, Stephen Graham, Sam Claflin, Greg Ellis, Gemma Ward, and The Losers Óscar Jaenada.

The film opens in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D theaters on May 20, 2011.
