Oh, what a difference a day can make. Just yesterday, we learned that Warner Bros was still in negotiations with Jonathan Liebesman to direct Clash of the Titans 2. They’d been going back and forth for months, which left a lot of us wondering: what’s the hold up? Deadline reported that the studio and director were “far apart on money,” meaning he wanted them to step up his pay. We guess he got what he asked for because its been confirmed that he WILL direct Clash of the Titans 2.

Late last night both parties reached a deal, and the production of Clash of the Titans 2 will go on as scheduled. This was just one of many properties that studios were trying to lock down directors for. The other films left in limbo include 20th Century Fox’s Deadpool and Wolverine 2. So far, Robert Rodriguez is the first choice for Deadpool but him and star Ryan Reynolds’ schedules are making it difficult to start production.

As for Wolverine, Darren Aronofsky has been named as the competition for David Slade to helm the sequel to the 2009 X-Men spin-off. There’s been no confirmation from either director or the studio regarding a decision.

Do you think Liebesman will do a better job than Louis Leterrier with his version of Clash? Who should direct Wolverine 2?
