Saturday Night Live Adds 3 New Cast Members
By Krystal Clark
Last week we learned that Will Forte was leaving “Saturday Night Live” and taking all of his characters with him, including MacGruber. With a couple of weeks between now and the premiere of the show’s 36th season, they’ve decided to hire 3 new comedians. According to The New York Post, Lorne Michaels has tapped Paul Brittain, Vanessa Bayer, and Taran Killam.
Taran Killam’s name should sound familiar because he’s appeared on both “Scrubs” and “How I Met Your Mother.” He’s gotten his feet wet in television and now he’s gearing up to take the legendary SNL stage. The two other newbies both come from the windy city of Chicago, a place known for its comedy troupes. Those are 3 actors in, 1 out and 4 more who have yet to re-sign their contracts.
“Seth Meyers, Andy Samberg, Jason Sudeikis and Kenan Thompson are among those who have not yet said if they are being re-hired, according to reports.” Really? They haven’t confirmed any of those guys yet? Besides Bill Hader, Jason Sudeikis is the funniest guy on the show and Seth Meyers is the head writer, why hasn’t this been taken care of yet?
Hopefully, the new season goes off without a hitch, because it sounds like there’s a lot that needs to be done.
What do you think of the newest cast members of SNL?

Samberg & Sudeikis both have contracts up until 2012 and Seth Meyers was just shilling the show out at last week's Creative Arts Emmys – all three are definitely returning.
