On Sunday evening, the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards took place in Los Angeles, California, and surprisingly they weren’t that bad. The show didn’t run over, it was partially entertaining, and most importantly we got to see some fresh faces walk across the stage to accept an award. Here are some photos that captured the winning moments from “Modern Family’sEric Stonestreet, “Breaking Bad’sAaron Paul, “Glee’sJane Lynch, as well as a few others. Take a look…

The ceremony was hosted by Jimmy Fallon, who used his musical prowess to introduce various categories and sections of the show, i.e. Drama, Comedy, and Variety. He kicked off the evening with a big musical number that featured several nominees including the cast of “Glee,” Jon Hamm from “Mad Men,” Jorge Garcia from “Lost,” Tina Fey from “30 Rock,” Nina Dobrev from “The Vampire Diaries,” Joel McHale from “Community,” Kate Gosselin from “Jon & Kate Plus 8” (why?), Tim Gunn from “Project Runway,”and even Randy Jackson from “American Idol” got in on the fun.

Out of the list of winners our favorites are Eric Stonestreet and Aaron Paul. Stonestreet (in our humble opinion) is the funniest person on “Modern Family,” and Paul has consistently churned out great work on “Breaking Bad.” After last year’s loss, he deserved to walk away a winner.

What did you think of last night’s Emmys? Were you happy with the winners?

The opening number was fantastic. I loved it. It made me want to watch the entire awards show without clicking to other channels as I usually do when I watch.
