Ghost Rider 2 Shooting in 3D – Do You Care?
By Krystal Clark
Back in July it was confirmed that Nicolas Cage would return to play the title character in Sony’s Ghost Rider sequel. The last we checked Crank helmers Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor were on board to direct from a screenplay written by David S. Goyer. In terms of hype, Ghost Rider 2 doesn’t exactly have people waiting on pins and needles, an issue the studio might try to solve with 3D.
According to HotNews, Ghost Rider 2, aka Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance will be shot in Romania making it the first 3D film to do so in the country. Does that make you want to see the movie even more? We doubt it. Just because they’ve decided to gloss it over with unnecessary 3D doesn’t mean that more people will be interested in seeing it. By the time the film comes out, (tentatively for 2011) audiences will no longer care about the trend. As a matter of fact, we know plenty of people who don’t care about it now.
This property can only be saved by a great screenplay and some decent acting, both of which were lacking in the original.
What do you think of Ghost Rider being shot in 3D? Will that help?

pff the first one was a horrible adaptation and I really doubt 3D will help any, besides Cage is too old for that part anyway, thanks goodness I watch the first one on tv, it wasn't worth the ticket.

Shot in Romania? That's wonderful! They should do a wonderful job, though I do not care for 3D that much. Yes, it may not help, but Cage is a legend, and will give us that wonderful personality we adore

Every person has a different opinion for films and as for me i and many people i know think that the first film was good and that they will be going to see GR2 at the cinema, unfortunately it comments like yours that can stop people going to the flicks as people are easily influenced, for example Van Helsing was slagged of by the critics and what a great film that was, i wish people like YOU would let others decide for themselves, after just because YOU dont like a film that doesn't make it a bad film does it, its just YOUR opinion.
