Once you’ve won an Oscar, raided the box office, and become somewhat of a pop icon there’s only one thing left for an actor to do — direct. Angelina Jolie is the latest thespian taking a step behind the camera for a new film, which she’ll also write. According to GK Films, the movie is untitled but being described as a Bosnian war love story. Find out more…

The site states:

The film focuses on a Serbian man and a Bosnian woman who meet on the eve of the war and the effect the war has on their relationship. Based on an original screenplay written by Jolie, the actors will be solely compromised of various ethnicities from the region of the former Yugoslavia.

Oh wow, it sounds like someone wants to keep her casting legit to the region and the roles. We can respect that. Not only will the actress direct, and pen the screenplay, she’ll also be on board as a producer with GK Films’s Graham King. The duo previously worked on the upcoming Johnny Depp vehicle The Tourist, which is scheduled to hit theaters later this year.

Do you think Jolie has what it takes to transition from an actor to director?
