If you’re like me, you’ve been shaking in your boots awaiting your first glimpse of footage from the upcoming AMC adaptation of “The Walking Dead.” On the surface, it doesn’t seem like a project that would fit in with the network responsible for “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad” but this property has a great story to tell. Over at THR, they premiered the four minute trailer for the show and we’ve got it right here for you to watch…

The first season of “The Walking Dead” will only be six episodes and it will make its debut during AMC’s Fearfest in October. The series is written, produced and directed by three-time Academy Award-nominee Frank Darabont and produced by Gale Anne Hurd (The Incredible Hulk, The Terminator).

The trade reports that the official premiere date for the show has been announced and it’s Sunday, October 31st. Coincidence? Hell no! Great marketing? Hell yes! Also, the first episode won’t be an hour but a full 90 minutes. Lets be honest, we need that extra 30 minutes to establish the awesomeness that this zombie-filled world has to offer.

They held a panel for “The Walking Dead” at this year’s Comic-Con but I wasn’t able to attend. I wonder if this is the footage they showed. If you did see it, let me know!
