Last week we reported on the cluttered schedule of the “action hero of the moment,” Ryan Reynolds. The actor is attached to several high profile movies and he’s just added another one to his roster. It was previously announced that he was the front runner to co-star alongside Denzel Washington in a movie called Safe House, and according to Deadline the role is his for the taking.

Safe House centers on the only surviving agent of an attack on a CIA safe house (Reynolds) as he tries to get a lethal prisoner (Washington) to a second safe house before being taken out by violent forces that want them both dead. Apparently every young actor under the sun wanted this part but it went to Hollywood’s current golden boy.

While he’s negotiating his deal for the film, he still has the comic adaptations R.I.P.D., Green Lantern 2, and the red-haired step-child Deadpool waiting in the wings. Not to mention the comedy The Change-Up, which he’s filming alongside Jason Bateman this fall. Where oh where will he find the time to do it all?

Are his people forgetting that he signed a deal to star in the Deadpool spin-off prior to any of these other movies? We guess not.

What do you think of Reynolds joining Safe House? Do you want to see Deadpool already?
